Come and join us as we explore composition in photography.

Composition is one of the most critical element in photography. Composition is how a photographer arranges the visual elements within their image, frame. I promise you that if you search for information on composition you will find plenty You will find formal rules, opinion, some of which you can trace back to historical art movements and painters.

Even in the digital world, composition remains the key to creating strong images. Composition is what guides our eye through an image and gives importance to the subject. It creates the story for the viewer and how we as photographers convey that message.

This meetup will explore composition using our frame and tools available to us as the photographer.

The session was great and Nick was wonderful in teaching us how Manual mode can be of benefit to the photography especially when trying to shoot with some depth of field. I learnt lots, but also found that with all this new information I became somewhat overwhelmed, realising that there is still so much to learn. However, in saying that, Nick was very supportive and patient in teaching us and he also answered all my and the other participants questions.

Nicholas was good in teaching us all about an Introduction to Adobe Lightroom and was able to answer everyone's questions. I felt I was able to learn the basic process to enable me to use Adobe Lightroom; However the venue was not conducive to such a workshop, as at times it was very difficult to hear Nicholas due to the amount of people in the cafe at the same time.
